The Irvington Historical Society thanks all of those who have lent their mementos to this exhibit, which commemorates the local volunteers who made the Pan Am Games a turning point in Indianapolis history.  From pieces of the Disney castle in the opening ceremony, to volunteer badges, to animation cels, to banners, manuals and personal pictures, visitors get a feel for what this event meant to those involved. It is amazing what has been valued and carefully kept for 30 years!

The Irvington Historical Society hopes to perpetuate the spirit and civic leadership of Garry Petersen and the others who initiated the PRR and exemplified by motto that runs through these wonderful posters, "Let the light be passed so the vision is never lost."  This exhibit will include posters from 1983 to the last poster in 2006.

If you've been on the Ghost Tours of Irvington, you may have heard about HH Holmes in Irvington.  If you watched the American Ripper series on the History Channel, you have heard about HH Holmes in Irvington.  This exhibit explores the documents seen in the program and the mystery of how history gets interpreted a century after the original event. Unique holiday gifts from the best local artisans will be offered in a  2 day event beginning Friday evening, Nov 17 with ticketed entry that includes hors d'oeuvres and musical entertainment . Then open to general public free of charge on Saturday, Nov 18.
